Dealing With A Breakup: How To Move On?

dealing with a breakupCoping Properly

Breaking up with someone can be a very devastating thing to get over. The loss of love, trying to figure out what happened, trying to move on can all be difficult to deal with after you and your boo break up. It is not easy, but you can get over that person and move on with your life. Nobody is saying it is going to be easy, but here are a few tips on the best ways to cope with a break up and how to move.

Beware of hookup scams

Adjusting to the Break Up and a New Routine

1) Throw yourself into work or school. Work and school are other responsibilities you have and must take care of. They could stand to have your undivided attention. Maybe study a little harder, or pick up an extra project for your team. These things will not only give your mind something else to think about, but they will give you a way to channel all of those feelings and into to something positive.

2) Go work out. Working out is a great way to get over a breakup because when you work out it releases the “happy hormones” that can just generally make you feel better. Also it will keep you out of the refrigerator and keep that body tight so you are looking good for the next person that comes along. I also recommend a kick-boxing class or mixed martial arts gym so you can imagine the persons face and beat the crap out of it. And you might even meet your next sweetie. The gym or workout camps are a great place to meet people.

3) Stay social. This may be the hardest thing to do. Typically, after a break up, you want to sit in the house alone or with your best girlfriends, or Judy’s, and bitch and complain about your relationship and the person who broke your heart. Fight the urge to do that, or only do it for a couple of days and then force yourself to go do something social. Go be around people. Go to a comedy show and laugh, or find a group of people in your city who are into a hobby of yours and go do that with them, go sit at the bar during happy hour. You just have to get out and go. You don’t have to be looking for “Mr. Right”, but “Mr. Right Now” may come tap you on your shoulder.

4) Hook up with someone- The best piece of break up advice I ever got was “how you get over somebody is to get under somebody.” Go out and get you a little something, something. This would be a great time to try out a hook up website. You are just looking for fun. Nothing serious and no drama. Find a person in local area that you wouldn’t mind hooking up with and see where it goes. Do that and do it often. You may actually forget about the person you broke up with sooner than you could have imagined. This is just great advice for anyone, because we’ve all felt the heartache.

Move Onto the Next Relationship

There is no doubt that the best way to cope with a breakup with your ex is by getting with the next. Getting back out there and meeting new people can really bring the enjoyment back to your life. As I said earlier date, and date frequently. It’s not that you are looking for a brand new relationship you are just bringing new energy into your life. A little excitement and adventure is all you are looking for. You can go the traditional route and go out and try to meet people. Go to the places you think the men or women will be doing as Samantha from Sex in The City would do and ask someone to go home with you. There is nothing wrong with that approach, but you have options.

One of those options is going to dating or hookup websites. Guys, and gals, are there for the purpose of looking for someone new, and that is where you need to be; dating and hooking up.

Meet People Online!

There are some really good free dating sites out there for your respective area. It is relatively easy to meet someone that way. All you have to do is set up a profile, post a picture, and start chatting. The dates will come. Cast a wider net and sign up for several different sites. This just expands the options you will have and helps with finding other people who share your interests in your area.

Having sex feels good, and it is one of those things that can take all of the emotional pain away, at least for the moment. Having sex with other people is just great way to get over a breakup. It helps to move the healing process along. Don’t be afraid to try out some of the free dating sites. We have some really good ones listed on this site.
